If you love the world of coffee and would like to start your New Year off with a new job then Miko Coffee South West has an exciting opportunity for you.  We’re currently recruiting for a full time Regional Account Manager/Coffee Consultant to join our sales team working in and around the North Devon, Taunton, Bridgewater area.

We are part of an international coffee service organisation with operations in a dozen European countries and roasting facilities in Belgium and the U.K. We specialise in tailored solutions for the out of home customer, providing the finest coffee and hot beverages, world class coffee machines, and the highest levels of account management, technical and service and coffee quality support.

The ideal candidate MUST HAVE the following skills and experience:

  • Proven sales experience within the coffee industry or someone working in the coffee industry who would like to develop their current coffee knowledge into a career in sales
  • Have excellent Barista skills
  • Be a self starter who has the drive and ambition needed to succeed in a very competitive market
  • Have the ability to use your friendliness, charm and persuasive skills to enable you to build up rapports with both existing and potential customers
  • Excellent selling and range selling skills in order to hit the targets and KPI’s set
  • Presentation skills would be advantageous but not essential
  • Must have good communication and listening skills
  • Must to able to influence customers
  • They must also be of a smart appearance, be reliable and be able to work as part of a very busy department and above all have a passion to succeed.
  • UK clean driving licence

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

 

  • To work closely with the Regional Sales Manager/Branch Assistant Manager  (and other sales colleagues) on strategic marketing plans to generate new business in both the corporate and hospitality sector.
  • To consistently network for new business in these specified areas (including cold calling).
  • To be the first contact resolution for all customers ensuring that any problems are rapidly addressed and concluded.
  • Assisting new customers with financing of specialised espresso equipment and organising barista training for them on a regular basis in order to produce quality drinks, resulting not only to a rise in profits and volumes for the customer but also in the form of coffee sales for Miko.
  • To specifically devote time to the development of core brands within our product portfolio.
  • To gain the knowledge of our machine range and technical information that is vital to have an understanding to help solve minor problems.
  • Have constant communication with the Technical Service Department to ensure they have the correct information for technical problems and installations.
  • To be highly capable, motivated and result driven.
  • To complete all administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner as and when required by the Regional Sales Manager and other colleagues.
  • Drive coffee quality and service in Miko Customers through Grinder assessment and adjustment and advise when grinder blades need replacing & Espresso machine assessment and recommend where necessary filter changes, service and cleaning.
  • Delivery of onsite training sessions for selected customers
  • Assess skill levels and abilities of team members of the customer and carry out adhoc training and coaching where necessary via the use of Coffee quality audits
  • Introduce new products and procedures to Miko Customers
  • Follow up on any service or coffee/product needs
  • Stay up to date on new equipment and products
  • Attend & complete basic machine maintenance on machines
  • To be prepared to travel with work throughout the UK and abroad.
